PROJECTS

in 2011-2012, the theme of FLL was Food Factor, which was about food contamination. Our solution was the Frozonizer, which utilizes ozone technology to kill bacteria and pathogens on fresh produce. We made a working prototype of Frozonizer, tested its effectivenes at PennState Microbiology lab and almost got a patent for our innovation. Please, read more details at the link below.

In 2012 - 2013, the theme of FLL is Senior Solutions, which is about difficulties that senior citizens have. We were instructed to make a device or anything else that would help seniors in their everyday life. We designed a wheelchair with a special mechanism that helps seniors to get on and off the wheelchair easily. Also, a senior can drive the wheelchair using a remote control. Below is the course we all read to learn more about senior's difficulties.

Each year,as a part of FLL competition, we are asked to come up with an innovative solution to a real life issue based on that year's theme. After reasearching and discussing with professionals, we are expected to share our solution with community members and present it at the competition.

2013 Natures Fury

In 2013 - 2014, FLL chalenge is to use any device to help prevent, contol and provide relief from natural disasters. Our proposal is a large unmanned vehicle that would have the capability to go into the heart of a wildfire and do tasks to try to weaken or contain the fire. The vehicle would carry multiple sensors and equipment including heat sensors, multiple cameras and a metal body to keep the fire out. It would also have a protected pliable tube that would carry water from the nearest lake, stream, river or man-made source in order to allow the vehicle to spray large amounts of water on the fire to weaken it. It would also have a plow in the pront in order to dig trenches to stop the spread of the fire.

2014 World Class

For this season's First Lego League(FLL) WORLD CLASSâ„  Challenge, over 265,000 children from 80 countries redesign how we gather knowledge and skills in the 21st century. Teams teach adults about the ways that kids need and want to learn.

Our team made the PronunciAID- a device that can record short messages and play them back, optimized for classroom use and aimed to help Language teaching.

2015 Trash Trek

2017 HydroDynamics

Drink in the 2017/2018 HYDRO DYNAMICS season and learn all about water – how we find, transport, use, or dispose of it. In the 2017/18 FIRST® LEGO®League Challenge, students age 9 to 16 from 80 countries will make a splash with HYDRO DYNAMICS. What might become possible when we understand what happens to our water?

FIRST® LEGO® League challenges kids to think like scientists and engineers. During the HYDRO DYNAMICS season, teams will choose and solve a real-world problem in the Project. They will also build, test, and program an autonomous robot using LEGO® MINDSTORMS® technology to solve a set of missions in the Robot Game. Throughout their experience, teams will operate under the FIRST LEGO League signature set of Core Values, celebrating discovery, teamwork, and Gracious Professionalism®.
